SEND & Inclusion
At Roundwood Primary, we pride ourselves in being an inclusive school, benefitting from experienced staff who have a range of skills and experience in supporting and tailoring learning for children with SEND to ensure all pupil’s flourish. We currently support pupils with the following:
- Speech and Language therapy
- Autism
- ADHD
- Attachment disorder
- PTSD
- Downs Syndrome
- Visual impairment
- Anxiety and low mood
- Processing and retention challenges
- Cognition and learning delay
- Specific learning difficulties such as Dyslexia and Dyscalculia
We identify a child’s individual needs - and their requirements for extra support - through observations, data analysis, consultation with parents and discussions with outside agencies. This is detailed further in our Inclusion Policy and SEND Information Report both of which are available for you to read.
All support provided along with interventions and resources are detailed in an individual learning support plan, which is continually monitored, reviewed and assessed to ensure the additional provision in place is enabling the child to make progress, and regularly adapted to confirm it is current and reflective of the child’s needs.
Our School SENCO is Ms Laura Tanner, who will happily speak to you regarding any concerns on questions you may have. Please contact her via email ltanner@roundwood.bucks.sch.uk or by telephone on 01280 813066/848306
